AVP for Large Alternative Investment Fund

Job Description:

Our client, one of the largest alternative investment firms in the world, is looking for an experienced JD to serve as AVP. The position requires a strong background in contract negotiation, the ability to assess and articulate risks arising out of various agreements, and decision making capabilities. The ideal candidate will have the desire to take ownership over the contracting process, work cross-functionally with other areas of the firm, be able take a practical, business-minded approach in negotiations, and to manage outside counsel. Job Responsibilities:

• Overseeing and implementing an initiative to centralize the contracting process.
• Creation of templates appropriate for use in a variety of settings.
• Interfacing with the business side in the contracting process.
• Management of issues, including escalation of issues as appropriate.
• Managing outside counsel.

Job Requirements:

• Exposure to a range of contract types.
• Prior experience approving contracts.
• The ability to work independently and with various groups across the company.
• Strong organization skills.
