Compensation Accountant

Job Description:

One of the top Alternative Asset Managers in the world, situated in New York, NY is
seeking a strong Compensation Accountant to join their team! The ideal candidate will possess very strong Microsoft Excel skills, including, Pivot Tables, V-Lookups and SUMIFS. Responsibilities will include, analyzing large sets of compensation data, setting up variance reports, and comparing waterfall reports.

Job Responsibilities:

• Maintain all the duties dealing with compensation accounting
• Will be reporting and working under the Managing Director/Controller
• Analyze large sets of compensation data, using Microsoft Excel
• Preparing compensation footnotes
• Create variance reports, perform balance sheet reconciliations
• Produce weekly and monthly ad-hoc reporting for multiple departments

Job Requirements:

• Experience from Private Equity or Hedge Fund background is preferred!
• Individuals who have a can-do attitude!
• Experience with compensation, commissions, and compensation accounting, and bonuses
• 5-7 years of relevant, professional work

Compensation:

• $80,000 – $100,000
