Corporate Accountant

Job Description:

Our client, a post-trade technology and services firm, is looking for an experienced accountant to join their finance team! This candidate will be responsible for all corporate accounting and financial reporting activities, including P&L reconciliation, management reporting, calculating broker bonuses/commissions, and assisting with budget forecasting. The ideal candidate will come with a background in both corporate accounting and financial analysis, have minimum of three years’ experience, and have working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Oracle, and Hyperion.

Job Responsibilities:

• Prepare financial reports such as balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, etc.
• Perform and review general ledger functions to assist with monthly accounting activity and closings.
• Ensure financial statements are GAAP compliant.
• Compile and analyze financial information to prepare and post entries to general ledger accounts and to document business transactions.
• Prepare reports on a monthly basis, including forecasts, operation expense reports and others.
• Other ad hoc requests as needed.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelors Degree in Accounting.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Oracle.
• Strong inter-personal skills.
• Strong problem solving and analytical ability – able to analyze financial and other related data.

Compensation:

• $70,000 – $90,000
