Firm Background:

A well-established, global asset manager looking to hire a VP of Valuations.

The VP will be a joining member, in the build out of the centralized valuation team, supporting the entire firm’s alternatives platform.

Responsibilities:

Work closely and report to the Head of Valuation
Work with a variety of asset classes and support the preparation quarterly valuation models and portfolio analytics
Perform model validation on new valuation models
Collaborate with finance, IT, risk and other functions about pricing, valuation, P&L and valuation models
Work with the Head of Valuation in managing the process on market data inputs (yield curve, volatility surfaces, credit curves)
Work with Technology team to automate current process
Train and develop others to expand capabilities and capacity of the valuation team

Qualifications:

8-12 years of Valuation experience coming out of a service provider or an asset manager
Strong knowledge of valuation methodologies and intermediate to advanced excel capabilities
Quantitative finance background with knowledge of financial products, specifically in private equity, real estate and lending spaces
